We’re very excited to announce that MaticPad cross-chain bridge is now finally live, initially supporting Polygon<>Ethereum transfers.
How to Use MaticPad Cross-Chain Bridge
It takes hardly two minutes to bridge your $MATPAD tokens from one chain to another using the native MaticPad cross-chain bridge.
You can transfer your $MATPAD tokens between Polygon and Etherum chain by following steps. In this example, we’ll guide you on how you can move $MATPAD tokens from Polygon chain to Ethereum. (Make sure you’ve some $MATIC and $ETH in your wallet to pay for the network gas fee.)
2. Now click on “Connect Wallet” at the top right, please wait for few seconds after you click and it will connect your wallet to the bridge.
NOTE: Now before you start moving funds, make sure you’re on the correct chain that you’re transferring tokens from. For eg, if you’re bridging tokens from Polygon chain to Ethereum chain you MUST select Polygon (Matic) Network in your Metamask wallet. Similarly, select “Ethereum Mainnet” in your wallet when you’re transferring tokens from Ethereum to the Polygon network.
3. When using the bridge for the first time, you’ll need to click on “Approve”. After doing that your current $MATPAD wallet balance will reflect on bridge UI.
4. Now enter the number of tokens you want to bridge from Polygon to Ethereum chain and click on “Cross”, this will give you a wallet prompt, click “Confirm”(the gas fee will be charged in MATIC)
5) Once the transaction is confirmed, now it’s time to claim these tokens on the Ethereum network.
Switch the wallet network from Polygon to Ethereum Mainnet, refresh the page and click on “Connect Wallet”. This will take you t the Ethereum network where you can Claim the tokens that you just sent from Polygon network from the same wallet.
6. Click on “Claim”, this will give you a wallet prompt where you’ll be asked to “Confirm” this claim transaction (fee will be charged in ETH gwei)
Once this transaction confirms and VOILA! you’ve successfully transferred your $MATPAD from Polygon to the Ethereum chain.
NOTE: You can only claim the exact number of tokens that you sent from Polygon network.
You can follow the same steps to transfer back $MATPAD from Ethereum to the Polygon network. If you face any issues, please address them in the official MaticPad Telegram Chat.
